Hi Toni. I live in Germany. They said people should not travel at all in November, only for work . Hotels are closing along gyms, Restaurants, pubs etch. Whole Europe is closing...

Canadian here...I believe nothing goes to Canadian ports until May, 2021 so the extension to Feb 28 is no biggie

This is my first time posting on any site. A little background, we started cruising in 1995 and have completed 62 cruises so far. We have had 7 cruises canceled since Covid started. We currently have 9 cruises booked starting with 2 in December and the furthest is September 2022.
Bottom line, we would be on a ship tomorrow if we could and would follow any protocols required. We are having withdrawal symptoms and need to be back at sea ASAP.

They need to raise revenue by selling future cruise vouchers. For instance, I would buy a $4000 voucher which I could use anytime in the next 2 years, or so, and have priority booking when new cruise itineraries are announced and other perks...

Within the last hour the CDC announced that they are not extending the "No Sail" order. They are however, instituting a "Framework for Conditional Sailing" that extends until November 1, 2021

The $3.0B includes $1.8B in customer deposits and the $300M/mth doesn't include the costs of bringing crew back on board/ramping up operations. RCL doesn't have long.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has dropped its controversial "No Sail" order in favor for a so-called Conditional Sailing Order. In short, the "No Sail" order has been lifted and the industry will work with the CDC on a realistic, phased-in return to service.

One thing I have been wondering for people who are not able to take a cruise now and with cruise companies not making revenue, just what are people spending their money on?
Not many places to spend money right now.
Concerts, plays, dining out are going broke too since people are not willing or not able to spend their money in those places either.
I was looking at my spending history this year compared to last year and spending less this year on all discretional items.
Saving the money for a future cruise in 2022.
Hoping 2022 will be somewhat better than this year.

Too close for comfort for our May Alaska cruise. Our final payment is mid February. I hope it either opens or they can come to an agreement with Victoria to do a stop to satisfy the Jones Act. Not looking good for Vancouver embarkations

A crew member for RC posted a video a couple days ago of him going back to work in Singapore. He said those cruises are only going out to sea for a couple days, there won't be any ports of call and it's only for Singapore citizens. Hopefully that'll help with some lost revenue.
He goes into detail about how he is preparing for the cruise and will vlog what the cruise will be like with protocols.
His name is Riley, check him out. He gives great information.

Happy Friday Tony & Jenny!!!
BIG congrats to Billy on the win!! (WOOT, WOOT)
I've got to get into the habit of commenting. I keep missing out on the chance to win some stuffs.
I can't even fathom that amount of $$$'s.

While Transport Canada's extension of their cruise ban will have little immediate effect, the symbolic effect is huge. I am lowering the probability of our April Seattle-Hawaii cruise sailing from 30% to 20%. ps: Payment for the cruise is due Feb.14.

Great video, Tony. 12 months worth of cash isn't that much when you think about how few ships will be out there to start and how long it may take to get paying passengers at a profitable capacity on the ships. Have a great weekend!

Feel for the people/small businesses associated with the industry. Got three RC cruises booked 2021, 1st Jan 23rd. Although I don’t think it will go ahead (Think Symphony will be redeployed in 3/4 night sails to private islands), paid up early so if it gets cancelled I’ll get 125% FCC towards my June booking and save £500 off that cruise. Great news from CDC

Actually Royal has less than 12 months, if they don't raise additional liquidity: They also have 0.3 Billion of debt due this year and 1.2 Billion due next year. So that should also be substracted from the available liquidity.

News says CDC Lifted the no sail order at 12:43 eastern time. 🤔

The Canadian cruise ship ban til February is a meaningless technicality since cruise ships don't ply Canadian waters over the winter.
