How To Bleed Your Brakes By Yourself #shorts

This will show you how to bleed brakes by yourself!
very simple process that you can do with very minimal tools.

Tube size: 3/8-Inch Diameter by 1/4-Inch Clear Vinyl Tubing

Disclaimer: Careful doing this on certain makes and models. The ABS pump can get activated and push out all the brake fluid. Which will cause the master cylinder to run dry. This will happen if you have your key on and in some cases, it can happen without your key on.
There's certain ABS pumps that will allow passive bleeding, which it doesn't need to be activated via scan tool to get bled. While there are others that need to be activated via scan tool to get all of the old fluid out of the pumps.

Like always, do your research before attempting any work on your vehicle and be safe!

This is so much better than watching a ten minute video for thirty seconds worth of information. Thank you.

This is by far the simplest explanation of how to bleed brakes and you did it in less than a minute 👊 You rock! Give yourself a pat on the back.

I have been spinning wrenches for over 20 years. I have seen countless products and tools designed to allow one person to bleed brakes by themselves. This however, this has to be one of the best tricks I have seen. Definitely a good one for when you need to bleed a caliper or brake hose. Not sure how well or It would work bleeding a ABS pump but still a useful trick to know

A lot of people add a finger full of grease around the bleeder valve to not let air in or out around when it's loosened

Erik the Car Guy taught me this trick a long time ago it’s a lot better then relying on some who doesn’t always pay attention when you tell them to stop pumping the pedal

Much much better. Thank you.
There are many videos in YouTube, most of them, they do a lot of nonsense talking.
Many of those videos are are like 10 minutes long, and thet information is like 30 seconds.

Need to add thread tape to bleeder screw to stop from sucking air around threads

Another one man bleeding tip: Believe it or not you don't have to pump the brake pedal, just put on the clear hose on the bleeder nut and put a bottle with some brake fluid and the hose submerged in it and crack the bleeder valve nut and slowly the brake fluid will empty into the bottle, and just keep the master brake reservoir full, gravity will do the rest, you can even do all the wheels at once if you have a hose and bottle or can at each one.

I realize I’m a little late on this, but I had a question. When bleeding the brake, how will I know if there is air in the tube leading from the reservoir to the brakes. Additionally, after having started the brake bleeding process, how will I know when all air has been pushed out?

Sorry, this would be my first time, and with costs piling up, I wanted to learn how to the do the maintenance of my vehicle myself.

Great video, super simple and to the point, I replaced a caliper on my car, and I’m over here thinking I need to go buy a whole air compressor just to bleed that one caliper .

Should the brake fluid reservoir cap be open or air tight when bleeding the valve?

that's a very good and clear explanation! I just wonder how do i know when the old brake fluid is completely pushed out as they have a very similar color?
