Sudden expansion of a gas in a thermally isolated container

In this video, we study the sudden expansion of a gas which is initially confined to one-half of a thermally isolated container while the other half is empty. The gas is suddenly permitted to expand to fill the entire chamber so that by assuming the initial temperature of the gas in the half container is T_i then we try to find the final temperature T_f after the expansion for two different equations of states.
