The fact is there is nothing that can be done about this and statistically you are more likely to suffer violence and murder as a man than as a woman. As for "education", I don't think anyone needs educating not to commit murder, just as no one needs educating not to hurt other people at all. All the education in the world won't stop bad people doing bad things, perhaps women should be "educated" not to walk around alone at night.

sadly Sarah is not the first young woman to die this way and I hate to say this but it's true she will not be the last if things don't change .and I might just add its not right to think all men are predators or possible murderers my sympathy& condolences to her family at this awful time

Remember When Young men were taught that women were to be protected and to be chivalrous? sucks that those morals were too "problematic".

My heart goes out to her and her family. Some people are just using her death to promote an agenda to silence young men.

The question is "why is every means of self defence such as tasers, peper spray, knives and fire arms all illegal"

For you Americans not all the UK public are reacting like this on a local level we are finding something extremely fishy about the situation and believe its more media manipulation, we are asking questions like, why was it back to back nationwide news before they even know she was dead or a police officer was involved in the killing? So many questions when we have so many missing people that don't get this attention.

Sarah did everything us women are told to do (except walk home alone at night): wear flat shoes, wear colourful clothes, don’t wear headphones (she was on the phone to her boyfriend), stick to well-lit main streets. What we should actually be saying: Men, don’t attack women.

This extraordinarily shocking case in the United Kingdom is somewhat reminiscent of a case from twenty-nine years ago in which a deputy sheriff of Harris County (Houston), TX egregiously violated his oath of duty when he murdered a woman 'under colour of authority' by obtaining an arrest warrant under patently false pretenses.

When I was a kid, they used to teach boys to never hit a female under any circumstances and if a boy hit a girl, he'd get the crap kicked out of him by his own friends.

Same with hitting someone with glasses or someone younger or much smaller than you.

The Gentleman's Code of Conduct was brutally enforced and I grew up in a very working class area. In fact, I noticed that this wasn't the case when I moved to a more affluent area. But even working class areas don't follow the code anymore.

Men have lost the desire to be the heroes that stand up for those who can't because they're tough and nobody messes with them.
