When today's guest was last on this program back in May, she made the somewhat heretical prediction that when the Fed started cutting interest rates, it would set off a chain of events that were likely to prove more restrictive than its tightening policy.

Well, here we are 6 months later, and the Fed has indeed started cutting interest rates and yet longer duration bond yields and mortgage rates are....higher??

So, is her prediction coming true?

To find out, we're fortunate to welcome Cameron Dawson, Chief Investment Officer at NewEdge Wealth, back to the program today.

We'll also hear her market outlook, as stock bulls are clearly in risk on mode right now. Cameron thinks they may continuing stampeding higher for a while.

Adam, you met your match with Cameron for imaginative analogies 😂 Thankyou both, such a smart discussion and yes I remember Greenspan making money so cheap but it was just after the credit crunch and like now, i feel there was an attempt to make the west seem financially fine when it wasn't then, and it isn't now

Excellent guest. Her free weekly report at NewEdge Wealth is definitely worth reading as well, for anybody not yet subscribed - it's always thoughtful, informative, but not too long.

I am surprised I haven't encountered her work before and have added her to my "stop and listen" list. Thanks to both---

When I started investing it was to grow a nest egg for the future. A return over 8% was good since it was cumulative. Nowadays many seem to be investing to supplement miserable wages/income and so returns to 16 to 20% are needed. This is not sustainable. Of course this does not apply to high income investors/ high net worth folks as their goal seems to be yacht parties in Monaco not comfortable retirement in anytown USA.

Cameron is a brilliant analyst. She's extremely intelligent and insightful, and has very sound conclusions. I always look forward to her interviews, and wow, she looks like the second coming of Cindy Crawford in her 20's. Seriously. She is a complete class act.

Excellent interview as always. Thank you, Adam.

I think one of the clearest indicators that the game has changed, away from the more traditional valuation based investing, is Berkshire Hathaways positioning. The Oracle of Omaha is sitting out this rally in a largely cash position, becuase investing at these valuations doesn't make since under the rules that the game has been played by for the last 100 years

Thank you both for an entertaining and informative interview. Some disparage her but when asked a question she doesn't hesitate, just answers with confidence and sincerity. Perhaps some are just threatened by a highly intelligent beautiful woman! 😉

I missed her music recommendation. Does she like salsa, merengue, reggaetón, flamenco? Rosalía? Curious, as she also studied dance & Spanish.

She’s one of a kind. Very eloquent and easy to follow. Too bad she wasn’t blessed with a brilliant mind and also being absolutely stunning at the same time 😂

Nothing changes for me. Just wait for a downturn and buy. If a professional manager maybe. If an independent investor. Nothing has changed.
