The wild thing about Pirates of te Caribbean was how it came out of nowhere, and hit with Golden ass delivery of fights, Pirates, Music and Trilling world.
Alot of stuff takes along time to build itself, but Captain Jack Sparrow came in to our lifes like drunk party crashing self proclaimed Unckle, and suddenly it was like he had allways been there.
Well at least it felt like he was ment to be, the world needed this. Breathing new life in to the Mystics of Pirates
Those filmes ( the 3 first at least) were just pure magical.

Nah as much as I hate to admit it, as much as I tried to dislike those movies growing up, it's actually a goated franchise. No one else can ever be Jack that's for sure

Oh yeah, i forgot about that. I just treated the edge of the world as the afterlife, and they were only allowed to do that while living because the forces of nature and gods needed them to do this epic quest alive to make sure those living will believe some element of the story as real to keep the impact of the story in conversations.

To be fair the sea is kind of scary and mythical. Don't believe me, go sail on open water for longer than a year and come back. I'll be surprised if you don't have any spooky or life threatening stories.

If you want a good mash of history and fantasy I recommend the Temeraire series of books. The napoleonic wars with dragons.
