How to Install Static Window Film

A quick video to help you install static cling window film.

I followed this tutorial for a product from a German company (I live in Germany) and it worked well.
A tip for others: Unfortunately we deviated from the instructions a little bit and started applying the sheet lengthwise instead of from the top because it is a long horizontal piece, so ours isn't centered properly, but it's our fault for not following directions.

Thank you for your video. Is water better for static film? Cos’ following my seller’s instruction, I used soapy water on my static window film and pushed out all the bubbles and it looked ok. But to my horror the next day, lots of unsightly tiny bubbles showed up that can no longer be pushed out. So sad cos’ they look terrible.

Will it work on polycarbonate? I heard poly gasses off and will eventually leave bubbles in the tint. But if you took it on and off on a regular basis would I be able to use it on polycarbonate?

Looks to me that the paper backing was peeled from outside while installing. So what’s the point of the backing then?

2 years ago I installed this film on my window. I am now having trouble removing it.
As the sun has burnt it onto the glass. I have tried scraping it but it leaves marks and I'm afraid of damaging the window. There is lots of advice how to install but I cant find how to remove

Can sunlight interact with the water particles sandwiched between the film and glass?  Is there a chance mold could grow?

looks beautiful, but is this for decoration ? not for privacy, i do like amazon lifetree window film, easy installation and protect privacy, and the key point is allowing light in !

I would like to apply this to my bathroom window, which opens from the bottom and tilts . So in other words, will the plastic stay clinging to the window if it's on the underside of a window at a 45 degree angle?

When cutting to size should it be same size as window or leave a small 5mm gap around perimeter? Thanks :)
