hey chris, thanks for the lead! being in canada our suppliers are not as varied as in the USA, but based on their ink bottle prices i'm going to have to pick up a bunch of inks from them!

Thanks for the video, Chris. I’ve been enjoying Birmingham inks for a while - I very much like their smoky/sooty character.

Nick has been super for me so far. He has a huge sample pack of his inks for a very reasonable price. So far my favorites are the Fred Rogers Cardigan Red and Andy Warhol Pop Art Purple.

Hey Chris great videos I always learn something. Where do you get the paper to do that. I want to start doing that with my collection. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the review.  I am curious about how the knox compares with the Goulet nibs and what you think.  I have many Goulet Nibs, but I'll be honest sometimes they can be too smooth, sometimes too toothy, and sometimes just right, one of which being my go to in my F-C Marietta, having a pleasant feedback to it.

And the Frank Gorshin shout-out is refreshing. He was a great entertainer.

Thank you Chris for the ink reviews! Hope more of those will come in the future?! I have not heard of Birmingham inks before. They seem to have really nice colors.

Another good video. Have you ever used Iroshizuku Yama Budo ink? I saw one bottle left at Philly today but held off on buying it. After looking at samples on the internet it seems fairly purple.

Thank you, Chris. Very interesting. Even the letterhead is graphically interesting.

These were interesting inks, especially to me. I came originally from Pennsylvania and went to college about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh. I recognized some of the place and person names in the ink names. So far, all I have are samples, but a few are turning out quite interesting. When the weather warms up, I may purchase a few bottles.

Chris:. Glad to see you doing a video on Birmingham Inks. The previous incarnation of the Birmingham Pen Company was xFountain Pens. At that time they sold two private label lines of ink. One was rumored to be from Diamine. The other was rumored to be from
De Atramentis. I believe the current line of Birmingham ink is really from De Atramentis.

XFountain Pens was the source of Nemosine fountain pens. There is currently a line of Nemosine glittering inks which I would bet are based on Diamine shimmering inks.

Their inks are great value at $7.99 for 45 ml. I bought a bottle of Fred Rogers Cardigan Red on sale for $4 and I'm very happy with it.

You can buy 5 ml samples for $1.19, another good value.
