I just looked and it turns out I have the original Version 1 case!

Mine has the Nintendo logo and Nintendo network logo. As you said I’m guessing mine is from the first print before the amiibo update. It’s also a pal English copy

I have the original 0000, but for whatever reason, the case was still white. Other than that, the printing is exactly the same as the first batch.

Probably is has to do with the print thing. If it's 0000 means is first print. About the red case, I have no idea if the color is related to it or not. But I have seen a few copies out there with red cases.

Some of them are UAE versions that are cheaper

Mine says 0000 and its a white box with the nintendo network logo, not Amiibo one (also got my copy signed by Laura bailey aka Lucina)
