The parents aren’t parenting and we have to deal with it and set academics aside, so kids aren’t learning. And admin refuses to support us so we can’t get help.

This is the result of creating a society that doesn't care, respect nor invest in the slightest into a profession that takes care, raises and educates your children. Most of the good ones leave and only the desperate stay. Bad payment is one big issue, the other one is the lack of respect that turns your life miserabel. Specially from the rude arse children and their parents. The same parents that are at the same time very happy to shovel them off to school, barely spend any time with them outside vacations and even at home barley enough to help them properly with homework. Because EVERYTHING is the teachers responsibility and their fault if something goes south.
Yeah. I wouldn't want to be a teacher in america.

I will never sacrifice the time I have as a stay at home mom for a paycheck. I completely understand that some people cannot do that and that it’s not possible but I feel that time with my children is more important. Being a stay at home mom I get to do homework and make sure that my kids study I get to do their extracurricular activities and be involved and there’s no more important job than that, what job in this world is more important than raising our future? Because right now the children that are our future or being failed

Go to the Imperial Valley, Ca. A Grade School Principal I know there is earning $150k a year and She shared that the Teachers are earning more than her that She has even thought to switching back to teachings as Teachers also have all the benefits and protections of the Teachers' Union ... Really!!! Check it out.... So Teachers only work half days (until 2pm), get full benefits, paid Vacations in Winter, Spring and Summer plus all Holidays off and Oh all wknds off ... Please Teachers are spoiled!!!

A lot of people aren’t cut out to be teachers anyway. Most teachers just go to college, being irresponsible and not even think about the type of jobs they can get with their degrees.

I don't blame them..honestly with any information you want to and need to know at your fingertips it's just the reality of it that certain teachings probably don't need to be done anymore. But I'm talking like college and up..I think it's still important threw high school for social aspects in particular. But on the flipside I can't tell you one thing you need algebra for right now lol..certain classes can probably be dismissed
