And when the reading is 24-25 volts on alternator output but 12.1 volts across the battery, are we looking at a short in alternator or something wrong with the charge controller? 80A alternator for Lexus ES300 yr. 2000

I didn't understood. There was a big difference between the two test at the end. What does that mean?

but according to ericthecarguy, the reading should be 0.01-0.02..if the reading is 0.10-0.20, then there's a problem.
