Ovidiu, please have a look at KDP and make a video tutorial about it. I'm publishing my first book and I am completely lost within all of the terminology and details to take care of. I thought it was gonna be easy but I'm stumbling into a whole new industry I have to learn about. A mini-playlist that would enlight all of the newbies would be very much appreciated and hopefully a success for yourself. Thanks so far! I gotta keep on searching for answers meanwhile.

How do you create a bleed if you start with an 8.5x11 piece of paper, but want it cropped down to say 5x7? Can that be done in Canva?

do you know by any chance what to do if Amazon kdp rejects interior of a journal because there is some element there which goes beyond the safety frame lines? I chose to create a non-bleed interior, perhaps should have been done bleed rather. was not sure what will turn out there. I don't mind part of the element on each page (embellishment) being cut off (that was the idea), but apparently kdp is not that excited about that :).

Im using Canva to create digital templates.
Do I check off "crop marks/bleed" to the digital templates that people are purchasing from me? Or do they choose that themselves when they print it out?
And....If they decide to send to online print shop instead, do I instruct them to check off " crop marks/bleed" before sending it off to be printed? Thanks for any help.

What's the size of the bleed by default
