This song was released in the spring or summer of 1967. But during a concert at a college in Virginia in October of that year, Tammi Terrell had collapsed into Marvin Gaye's arms. Later on, she would be diagnosed with a brain tumor that had to do with her headaches she had as a child. So on March 16, 1970, after so many unsuccessful operations, Terrell had died, just short of 25 years old. Just like Marvin Gaye was ONE day short of his 45th birthday on April 1, 1984, when murdered by his own Dad, a minister. RIP to those two greats.
