Garmin Connect App: How to Change Units of Measure (Miles/KM, LBS/KG, FT/CM, etc)

I show you how change the units of measurement (Miles/KM, LBS/KG, FT/CM, etc) on the Garmin connect app. Your option will be Metric, Statute or Statute UK. Hope this helps.

This should work for the Garmin Forerunner 15, Forerunner 25, Forerunner 30, Forerunner 35, Forerunner 45, Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235, Vivoactive 3, Forerunner 735XT, Fenix 5 series, Fenix 5 Plus series, Forerunner 945, Fenix 6, etc, etc.

Can the weight be read in pounds, feet for height, and kilometers for distance? It seems like a super simple fix to be able to change each measurement individually but there doesn't appear to be a way to do that. I will always have a metric that doesn't make any sense🤣

Didn't work for me. My watch still shows in feet, miles and pounds. But my phone shows in metrics

When running my watch decided to start displaying my distance in feet rather than miles which is very confusing. I changed it to metric since it's a lot easier to work out kilometers from miles than it is miles from feet. Still rather be able to fix my original issue though.

Yes it is simple to change and I have changed it to staute several times. But it does not matter how many times I have changed it, the watch face always displays KM!

The watch itself handles different unit types for individual metrics. Distance for example can be miles or km independently from height and weight. The app on the other hand locks into the same measure type for all metrics. This is frustrating for me, since I need/prefer lbs for weight and km for distance. Raised GenX Canadian, its just how my brain works. Height - feet, distance - km. volume - litres, temperature - Celsius, weight - lbs.

Its not like they don't have the methods and code worked out on the watch. Its frustrating..

I’ve changed it to metric and it’s KM on my app on my phone but on the watch face when running it’s in miles. Do you know how I can change the watch face when running to KM from miles?!

It’s so annoying that if I want KM I also HAVE to see the weather in Fahrenheit; no excuse for it imo
