House of the Dragon Updates | Season 3 News and MORE!

House of the Dragons Updates time! There are a ton of major updates to address with HBO Max’s House of the Dragon. I’m going to take you through each one of those updates today, and we will finish our video with a conversation with our channel producer Matt Rissman, where we discuss what House of the Dragon has done right and our thoughts on all of these breaking news items.

Our first House of the Dragons updates is that House of the Dragon season 2 was announced in August of 2022 and confirmed on instagram. In april of 2023, HBO MAX announced that production had begun on the show’s second season and they were being filmed at Leavesden Studios in the UK.

Our next House of the Dragons updates is According to George RR Martin, House of the Dragon season 2 was not affected by the Writer’s guild association strike. Saying, “one of the few shows still shooting is House of the Dragon. All of the scripts had been finished months before the WGA strike began. No writing has been done since. He also noted that HOTD is shot mostly in London, but also included spain, and wales, and that is why filming was able to continue. The actors on House of the Dragon are members of the british union, Equity, not SAG-AFTRA. And though Equity supports the SAG-AFTRA efforts, British law forbids them from staging a sympathy strike.

Next, our House of the Dragon updates is While we don’t have an exact date for the season 2 premiere, we do know that House of the Dragon season 2 will be released in Summer 2024. This latest update comes from Variety, which reported that HBO is targeting a summer 2024 premiere for the second season following the end of the writer’s strike.

The first episode of Season 2 is called "A Son For A Son" and will feature two characters called "Blood" and "Cheese". Now, knowing those two are in the episode and the name of the episode, it will absolutely shock viewers who don't know what's going to happen. Maybe on par with The Red Wedding. I'm just wondering how the scene will be shown. If they show everything, then it'll be a shocker.

You got me so excited I thought they had canceled the show. Then you explained it was because of the writer's strike. They had to put some original stuff on. "Sarcasm" Of course fans watched it look at the brilliant daring and courageous choices they had. You could have dragged a headless naked corpse across the screen for 20 minutes and people would have watched it. Bring back He-man and Thunder Cats repeats they have more original material. Gotta disagree with what you’re saying about time jumps. Being deep in this fandom I saw almost no one complain about those. Also HotD is supposed to only be 4 seasons. Past the rest of those tales will be told in different shows. Knight if the Seven Kingdoms. And then hopefully an Aegon show
