Lavender D'Arcangelo, born blind and autistic in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, discovered her passion for music before she even began speaking. She decided that this would be the year she auditioned for season 18 of America's Got Talent in hopes of bringing her vocals to an even wider audience.

For her audition, Lavender chose to perform "Out Here On My Own," a song originally sung by Irene Cara in the 1980 movie, "Fame." Judge Heidi Klum was especially moved by Lavender's story and ultimately pressed the Golden Buzzer sending Lavender straight to the live shows.

For her semifinal, Lavender performed Foreigner's 1984 hit "I Wanna Know What Love Is”
Now having secured her place in the finale, Lavender is set to perform with hopes of clinching the top prize.
