2025 Volkswagen T-Cross Review: HUGE UPDATE Makes THIS Awesome!!

The 2025 Volkswagen T-Cross Facelift is HERE and it has some MAJOR upgrades!

The T-Cross has received a new exterior, refreshed interior and technology and WAY more inclusions which make it actually fantastic value. It drives well, too - thanks to a fuel efficient but powerful turbo 3-cylinder engine. It does have some STIFF competition though, like the great Skoda Kamiq (it's twin under the skin), Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HR-V and UPCOMING Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.

So what's the catch? Is it priced right or too much? Let's talk about that in today's review!

Skoda is not scandinavian, its Czech.

Tried the Tcross before and it really needs the Golf’s 1.4TSI engine

Wow some bad scratching around stop start button. Hope this isn’t indicative of the quality of plastics.

Well Here in India, This car is known as the vw taigun and it has its sedan cousin called virtus gets both 1.0 litre and the 1.5l litre that produces 150hp ands 250 nm of torque and i own the 1.5 engine, and that is the most powerful one like 0-100 in 8.5 sec and average of 17-18 kmpl on highway. Also we get the top variants at your middle comfortline variants which translates to even more bang for your buck.

I recently bought an R-Line 1.0 manual. I knew about the upcomong facelift, but wanted to upgrade and got an excellent deal. Update looks cool, but I am ok for now.

Nice to see traditional brands catching up to Chinese brands in terms of tech for the price and giving useful tech from the base model.

Jacob, the T Cross NEVER had haptic control pads on the Steering wheel. They updated around 2 years ago to the stupid haptic for the Climate controls. I have a 2021 Style model with the Sound and Vision Pack and there aren’t ANY Haptic controls on it.Also I bought a Non Genuine Dash mat very soon after buying it and it made a big difference to sound intrusion from the front of the car.VW has never sold a dashmat for this model.Pity.

Love this guy's t-shirt and shoes. Looking good. The new T-Cross looks nice but that price...oof.

18 inch rims and 1 litre engine, sums up how dumb consumers have become.

This is weird because the R-line in South Africa comes with the 1.5tsi.

Why is there a much inflation? Why are cars so expensive, why are there no small cars left? Crossovers like these dominating the market certainty play a role🙄

Why do it have manual handbrake.

Thought vw was all in with that electric hand brake nonsense

The updated Skoda Kamiq offers better value overall! When you compare the Skoda Kamiq 85TSI Select ($33, 990 Drive Away) with the 'Signature Park' ($4, 200), it's still over $1, 800 cheaper ($38, 200 Drive Away) than the mid-spec Volkswagen T-Cross 85TSI Style ($39, 990 Drive Away) and comes with loads more kit! Add to that, the longer warranty Skoda offers over Volkswagens and the fact that the Skoda is also cheaper to own and service! Madness! Volkswagen Australia has really messed up with the pricing on this!

Pretty cool and fun looking car but I would never put my money into one. Too much can go wrong with it being European, small turbo charged engine, DSG transmission and expensive servicing/parts

Car manufacturers need to stop putting dual clutch transmissions in anything other than sports cars. The appliocation in SUV's is not necessary and a conventional automatic gearbox would be a better option.

Great review Carsauce! writing from ZAR I'm looking into getting myself this in January but a used 2021 1.5 version. Unfortunently this car does not compare very well against the Jolion which has taken the country by storm.
