He got blasted with so much gamma radiation his insides were just turning to a mess honestly. You can actually see the side of his head start to turn dark and burned right before the snap meaning if he waited any longer he may have not had the strength to even do it.

Another death due to radiation that mad me sad was Chris Pines Cpt Kirk (partial) death. The way he portrayed it was sad af especially with Spocks reactions during the dialogue exchange they had.

Tony’s character arc is imo the best in the series. I love how captain America in the first avengers foreshadowed Tony’s sacrifice when arguing with him about being a true hero.
