Let's just talk about how lucky we are, first getting Tobey, Andrew and Tom as a respective Spider-Man, all 3 being just equally fire in their role, then we got RDJ as Tony Stark which is literally like if RDJ was born to play that role, then jumping to other platforms and movies, Daniel Radcliffe being Harry Potter is just over the top since no one is acceptable beside Radcliffe to play HP. Nah y'all we NEED to appreciate everything since lucky for us we got the best actors with their best roles.

Tom cruise's main reason to turn down the role is because people told him superhero movie wont sell anymore. The second reason is he played a lot of tony stack style of character and he got bored, third is he thought the iron man suit was too bulky and asked that the suit to be smaller (because he want to do and coordinating his own stunt as an iron man). Of course the producer didnt agree because they already decided that the iron man will be a cgi character. Last but not least is the resurrection of mission impossible franchise that requires his full commitment.
