Why aren’t we growing new teeth in petri dishes in 2022? We’ve cloned whole animals. Root canals, crowns and even metal implants are BARBARIC!

Yes this is true. I had the worst tooth pain in my right molar which already had a filling + crown. I had to get a root canal through the crown and it was not fun. I am holding myself accountable and will be diligent to make sure this doesn't happen again!

I had one that was very old and loose. It was enough decay that I had to have a root canal. Funny story. I was at the VA in Minneapolis and it was 20 below and every other patient canceled so I had the root canal done with 20 minutes wait. The Endodontists had no patients. I got a cleaning done the same day.

In my opinion, the crowned bridges are trashes, especially the silver metal ones. Dont let any dentist talk you into getting a bridge when you have one missing tooth on the back. You'll end up losing the two good teeth that they crowned. Money grabbing industry stunned me. If I had some dental knowledge back then. I would do a root canal for the back tooth. Listening to their advice was a mistake. They pulled the tooth that had a hole and put on a bridge. They grinded two good teeth in order to fit the bridge. At the end, I lost the tooth that they crowned due to bacteria got in under the crown. And I had go do the root canal on another tooth that they crowned. So instead possibly just do a root canal in one bad tooth and not have a missing tooth. I ended up missing two teeth and had a root canal on the tooth they crowned.

Feeling defeated after thousands and thousands of dollars of restoration work, brushing, flossing, water flossing only to find out today that I need three extractions, two root canals and four crowns. Considering having everything ripped out at this point. I'm doing everything that I'm supposed to be doing but I keep getting hit with bad news.

I’ve been deathly afraid of the cleaning procedure for years - decided to try it again and my new RDH is awesome. I took your advice and was honest about my fears, my gag reflex and she made the procedure super comfortable, I was almost in tears of joy because I’ve always wanted to take better care of my teeth, I told her about your channel and how your advice helped me. She sold me a 2 part mouth wash called Oracare for my gums - what’s your thoughts on this product?

I went through breast cancer. In DV marriage then he abandoned me in another state. I shut down for 3 years. Terrified to leave the house. Couldn't go to dentist. Went today and there sending me to a specialist to see if they can even save them. There are cavities below the gum line and weak broken teeth.
I'm so upset. I lost my family's lives to a criminal gone through cancer my teeth have been slowly falling apart. I'm scared to death as I always am.

Unfortunately, I’m screwed in the dental department. I floss 2x/day and brush before bed. Yet my gums keep receding farther and farther down. I go to the dentist every 6 months, yet I’m told I’m losing bone. Guess I’ll need a few gum grafts in a few years.

I've been going for my biannual visits and last time, there was a small cavity and I was also put on a periodontal plan after a deep cleaning.
I went yesterday for 3 month checkup & the probed pockets went from 2s & 3s to 4s & 5s AND she then mentions that there is a cavity underneath a crown that I've had.
She asked if I was doing anything different. I said I'm brushing more and I'm flossing more. Then she tells me oh you're not getting deep into the pockets enough. I told her when I was doing that before you told me I was going too deep! Make up your friggin' mind!

It doesn't seem to matter what I do, I'm always going to be doing something wrong. I feel so stupid.

I said why wasn't anything said before? You've taken x-rays for 2 years!
She tells me that this was noted in 2021...ummm... I've only been coming since 2022... Unfortunately, it's time to find someone else who will possibly not scam me.
It's like I can't win for losing.

I understand that there is decay under the crown, but how could I have come for three cleanings, two sets of x-rays, and only now 2 years later I'm told that something's a problem? And she just did a filling on the tooth on the lower molar, but didn't say anything about having a cavity under the crown on the upper molar?

This, unfortunately, is why people don't visit medical professionals.
It's like a big joke and then you're made to feel like an idiot.

My dentist said that I had a deep cavity that's close to the nerve. She didn't drill further and advised that I should get a filling instead of a root canal done as I'm not experiencing any pain. Do you think leaving some decay in instances like this is acceptable?

My crown was defective. Dentist wanted to redo it but I was pregnant by that point (kept complaining about pain and sesitivity). I did not wanted to take the oral injections, especially during the first trimester.

How often do dentists misplace a crown, permanently cement it and then have to remove it to put a new one on. They did that and now the sensitivity is insane and I need a root canal. It's been two months and the pain in unbearable.

I had a gold crown fitted to a molar, only to develop decay under the crown less then two years later ! The crown was already around $2, 000 … then that wanted to do root canal therapy on the tooth for around $3, 000 more ! So after careful thought … I just cut my looses and had the bloody thing pulled . I have a very expensive keep sake … a waste of time and money
