With Warioware Get it Together coming out soon for the Nintendo Switch, figured now would be an awesome time to go back to the series roots and check out Warioware, Inc. for the Gameboy Advance as well as Gamecube. Both of these Warioware games have a bunch of overlapping bits of unused content including unused audio, unused graphics and of course some unused microgames! Hope you enjoy!

So, it's the lost bits to the game, that tells story about making this game. That means Wario specially made the unused things to make us overthink

One of my favorite games of all time, I was literally a toddler when Warioware inc. came out, but my older cousin gave me his gba games, and Warioware was my favorite game of them all, I'd always play it on my ds lite during road trips.

I assume the reason the "Pong" and "Breakout" microgames were cut due to legal reasons with Atari, and Nintendo not having the license for them. Though, SSB did include the Pong-like "Color TV" game as an assist trophy later.
As for the F1 Race Famicon miceogame being cut, possibly, because it wasn't released internationally, and they already had several Japan-only games and old Nintendo toy products included, and didn't want too many.

I'm honestly surprised you didn't make a comment about Wario's unused Wario Wear sprite being some real lost bits.

First we see Mario’s from the Mario Land manga, then Wario’s here, and we know the measurements of Luigi’s from the Mario Tennis Aces art…

I fear for Waluigi.

Wario's always busy and always tries to do his best, just not in a garlic company.

My guess why those pretty much finished unused Microgames were cut, was either they were pressed for time and didn't have enough time to actually incorporate those Microgames in their proper part of the game, or they were trying to save memory space. There's allot of games that suffers the fate for cut content for either of those two reasons. Another thing I know about game programming, is the various situations that can cause a game or software to crash. Here's a couple of them: Calling into action an "actor" entity that either does not exist or is unavailable in the area, and RAM (random access memory I assume?) being overloaded by objects and/or entities. For the latter, lag almost always comes first before the crash happens. Overloading the RAM is one of the ways you can get out of bounds in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Seriously, if you can cause the game to lag enough, the game does not have the time or room in the coding to call into action collision detection, allowing for a brief time you can escape the boundaries of the game

What's interesting about Goma is that Kat and Ana's boss game, the one with the frog and clouds, was one of the few bosses to be turned into a normal microgame in Gold. And honestly it feels much more fitting, as I always felt that boss was a bit out of place. Perhaps it was originally meant as a normal microgame, with Goma being the boss instead?

I just got the most baffling back to school add. It showed these young children getting sent off then after a quick transition (I don't know the name for the exact type) it was suddenly the parents in a club room with alcohol? They didn't even say what the ad was for, just that back to school is also the real new years?
It just confused me so much I needed to take a minute before I hit play

By the way Tetra that picture of the boxart you used is a fan-edit with newer renders if you didn't notice

Those unused microgames were probably cut due to being too similar to other games not owned by Nintendo, like F1 Race being like Pole Position, and Block Fever being Breakout. Knowing how copyright was starting to really develop during that time, I think Nintendo didn't want to get sued for potential plagiarism. (They'd be false charges, but still).

I'd love a Wario Ware game that doesn't have him in biker gear. Those purple overalls are iconic, and need more love.

I hope there's some more Warioware videos in the works. It's pretty cool to see what Wario and his crew had to leave out.

At 15:09 the Japanese says けこめ(kekome) Kekome doesnt mean anything. If it read かけこめ(kakekome) then it would mean to rush inside. Being an unused graphic the ja maybe got cut off.
