NUVO Clarineo Demo

Demonstration of the Nuvo Clarinéo by Jim Nilson.

The NUVO Clarinéo is a clarinet in the key of C and is ideal for young starters ages 4 to 12 years. It is 100% waterproof and much lighter and smaller than a Bb clarinet which means the finger stretches are shorter and the tone holes smaller. It has a rich, mellow tone just like a traditional clarinet and can play 3½ octaves fully chromatic.

The demo is in the lowest range of the instrumental. The Clarineo is not limited to that low range. It plays every note from the E below middle C to the G 4 ledger lines above the treble clef stave. So the total, fully chromatic range is 3 octaves + 4 semitones.

I recently bought a clarineo (I wanted to try it out because I’m a student flute player) and I couldn’t get the sound as low as you did. It sounded like a bike horn. Can you tell me how to make the sound lower?
