Um... I know the footage is spectacular, but I don't think that the rally and hillclimb crashes should be included in a compilation such as this.

They're motorsport incidents; the drivers and crews involved are deliberately pushing the limits and are not putting the lives of other road users at risk. The cars are prepared specifically for the dangers involved, and the roads are closed to other traffic during competitions.

I think it's unfair to class drivers engaged in motorsport events as 'stupid'. They know what they're doing, they may just not be doing it as well as they'd like.

Sorry if that sounds grumpy, but you're drawing attention away from the REALLY stupid drivers - the ones on public roads who are drinking, eating, speeding, drifting, road-racing, smoking cannabis, sending text messages on their phones, fiddling with their car's touch-screen settings, fiddling with their girlfriend's bra-strap settings, playing air-guitar with their eyes shut, or settling road-rage grudges.

Having said that, anyone who's doing ALL of the above at the same time probably deserves a medal. 🎖️👀

I rode a motorcycle for over 40 years and was amazed at the creative ways cagers can totally ignore the reality of anything outside their cars. Had to quit riding because I didn’t have the reflexes needed to avoid their stupidity.

Just today I had two different pickup drivers wait until the last second to pull out in front of me when there was nobody behind me for well over half a mile.
I watch a lot of this kind of video, and coupled with the training my father gave me--former trucker--and using common sense, I was able to avoid any collisions by anticipating the drivers' potential stupidities. They came through in spades.

0:52 this does not fall in the category of "Idiots in cars", this is called Rally racing, and people are driving on the limit to beat the clock. Accidents are very common in this racing category.
