I noticed that your last update was from almost a year ago. It's such a shame that this wonderful lectures are not updated any longer. This is actually the best lecture in econometrics I've ever had. Not blaming the professors who taught me econometrics are bad, they were good professors but probably not quite good at teaching. But, imagine a free MOOC video series on Youtube cleared all the confusions that you have since college, geez, this is amazing! Thanks a lot Dr. Lambert.

Why don't we have the problem of collinearity when we include both age and age^2 in the regression? Is it because age^2 is not a linear function of age? But there is "an exact relationship" between age and age^2.
