Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :) #treehouse #vlog

I discovered this channel roughly a month in to the pandemic. I think the very first video I watched was their Atlantic cruise. I have since now seen every single one of their videos. I genuinely wanted to say a huge thank you to Kara and Nate. Your channel was SUCH an escape for me this year. I'm someone who loves to travel, and see new things, and not having the option this year was heart breaking. But I truly felt like I was able to travel through all of their videos; the way you film everything is so true and real to each place. And they've also inspired me to want to travel to places I never had even thought of! (Once the world goes back to normal). This is exactly how I look at 2020! I am grateful. Life sends us in a 100 directions at once, the older you get more is thrown at you. To be forced to slow down made me focus on true goals, made me get creative and reflective. Made me look towards the future with furious gusto.

I know I have a lot to be thankful for...I have been one of the lucky ones to finish the 2020 crossing line.

I write a note every year on a chalk mirror that you see as soon as you walk into my home...this year was “lifestyle in action.” And it literally was regardless if I didn’t go anywhere or do much...I still accomplished great heights. Things that always got put on the back burner because of this or that.

I’m going into 2021 blindly. No plans. No direction...yet having one expectation...I will keep walking on this same path...this glorious and sometimes mischievous path.

Kara and Nate, while watching this video it occurred to me that it's been about a year since I discovered your channel and started living vicariously through your adventures. I wanted to thank you for all your hard work and sharing your travels with someone who's stuck at home because of health and money issues. I wish you both much success in the coming year and look forward to even more adventures and laughs. It's been touching to see your displays of love for each other. I think loving and caring for each other can get us all through these trying times.
