I ended up building this ramp but 600x1800mm (~2ft x 6ft) and 60mm diameter coping. I just adjusted the measurements for the coping notch (that took a bit more research to get the ideal height) and it's turned out great. Materials were $450Aud. Even if I went this 2ft×4ft it still would've been about $350Aud. These guys must have good contacts to get $250Aud for materials.

Did you account for blade width when you marked your 2x's? Seems like the second cut lost 1/8"
