Thanks for the videos. Wonder if you know how to make a circuit with a capacitive touch switch which would slow fade on and off 12volt LEDs when touched.

Hi and thanks for the video but I have a small problem when connected the capacitor it goes off then glows nicely on and bright but stays like that, I changed all components and the same only thing is that caps is 30V any idea why thanks

It didnt work for me. I tried two different ic 555, bc547 and a 12v power supply. Just light up and didnt fade out. I changed to 10uf, 1000 uf and just light up and no fado out.

No pun intended. I watched this video from multiple screens and without a doubt @0:48 the value of the resistor is 33KΩ (Org, Org, Org) instead of the 200kΩ (Red, Blk, Yel).
Nevertheless, thank you for sharing!

My BC547 is getting too hot in a few seconds and smelling like burned. What should I do?

hi, I have built a chaser circuit using the 555 and 4017, could you tell how to introduce fading effect during transition of one led to the next. Many thanks

I want to connect use 2 leds to get this effect with 2 12v battery which is connected to solar panel using charge controller. will it work ?

Hi. I tried but the led only fade in but not fade out. I used a 100uf capacitor with 50v as i could not find a 25v. Is this the reason why it does not fade out? All the connections are triple checked on my bread board.

The 200K resistor you show in the video is not 200K (color code wrong). Also, this circuit will not work on 9V no matter what I do. (I'm an engineer so I know what I'm doing....) Perhaps you can verify? I'm also using a 2N2222 transistor which is equivalent except different pinout. Won't work at all.

What changes must be made to power this with 3.7v?
This is for an outdoor solar project.

what would need to be changed if powering from a 9v battery?

So I have it working but as soon as I put in the capacitor it just stops working

If changing the DC to 5v, is the resistor the only thing I'll need to change in this same project?
Is this fade in & fade out effect is while the DC on? Or fade in when turn on and fade out when turn off?

Is it necessary to use 12v adapter ???
And good job thank you 😍

Hello! Can we use 5v and remove the resistor?
