The thing with the prequels is that they had great content like clone wars to elevate the era. The sequels has star wars resistance.

The prequels did a good job of using new content and ideas while maintaining a “Star wars” theme that allowed for new materials to be made to expand it mainly the clone wars. The sequel trilogy didn’t add interesting stories and characters that people want to learn more about or new ideas/concepts. A lot of fan service was used from previous movies limiting potential. I watched the resistance tv show and it was interesting but didn’t delve deeper into the meat of new/future stories and world building. Felt superficial.

The key diffrence is that no one really talks about Sequalls anymore. It is preety much forgatten by both Disney and fans.

The argument one who defending sequalls thinks that the key reason why Prequalls became so popular is nostalgia. Which is not the main reason.

The thing is,
the prequels had bad dialogue and a few plotholes and everything was explained by the clone wars and Made sense
While the Sequels had a LOT of plotholes, didn't repspect the characters, had bad character development and Most Things Just can't be repaired

I loved the prequels, I was 10 when Phantom Menace came out. Watching them as an adult though not so much. My niece loves the sequels, she’s obsessed with Rey and always wants her hair in the three bun style.

I loved the prequels even when they came out. Never understood why they were disliked.

Always liked the Prequels, always will hate the Sequels.

The prequels will always be remembered more fondly than the sequels no matter how much time passes because:

1. They actually had a unique and consistent foundation which allowed them to give birth to a wide array of spinoffs and legends.

2. They’re simply far more memorable, both the good and the bad parts.

The biggest difference is that there was a plan with the prequels. We all KNEW going into ep1 that the ten-year old boy was gonna become Darth Vader at the end of ep3. With the sequel trilogy, not even Disney knew what the plan was for the characters. And they rushed these movies out without any respect for the material, the characters, the actors, or the fans.

As a person who whatched star wars just this year for the fist time (all three trilogies), the sequels lack of litterally everything the prequels and originals had. It is like a cringy fanfic imo

I definitely think that will happen, I have no doubt in my mind about it, like Hayden said “Just give it time”.

Hot Take: The Acolyte is a better story than The Sequel Trilogy.

But the Prequels and Sequels have one thing in common: Palpy triumphs in both

Sequels were cool till the antagonist just becomes a cartoon villain. Absolutely loved the first order till they became a joke of a faction literally.

If you’re a kid growing up now and loving the sequels, I’m so sorry you had to grow up with them

As someone who grew up with the Bayformers... possibly? Depends on how they grow up.

For me only 6 episodes exist, sequels just don't.

The prequels while they didn't have the best writing they felt like Star Wars. The sequels do not

Depends on how many memes there'll be

Idk how anyone disliked episode 1, 2 and 3. They were amazing. I liked them way more than 4, 5 n 6.
