400 hours on Mercy and I still watch the beginners guides you put out, you're just so soothing and lovely.

Important note: Mercy's ammo has a really big hitbox and you can easily get headshots without directly aiming at the head.

when you said dont think “when should i damage boost” but instead “when should i heal”. literally blew my mind 🤯
ive never thought of it like that

For any new Mercy players there will be times where it feels like you aren’t doing anything. I would look into how many assists you are getting and aiming to be the person with the most as this usually means you’re getting value with DMG. You got this!

anyone else miss her ow1 movement? 🥺 sure, it was a little harder but that exactly was the charm of it, so rewarding and fun to master

I appreciate how often you update these guides due to how much blizzard meddle with mercy (and usually for the worse). thank you so much <3

Almost at 500 hours now on Mercy myself and I love watching your guides to help myself continue to improve. No matter how long I play mercy I still make stupid mistakes and these videos show me what I do wrong and how I can continue on the path of master mercy.

Mercy’s GA has a surprising amount of depth. I’ve started playing her since last season and it’s definitely got a higher skill ceiling the more you rank up!

21:50 One thing to note is that using the pistol can make it harder to realize that you actually have flight targets available, since the pistol is the only part of Mercy’s kit that doesn’t allow her to freely look around. I’ve had many many instances in-game where I’ve made myself available as a GA target to my Mercy, spam “group up” and “I need healing” to get her attention, and she just dies and staggers herself because she’s pistoling. (I’ve done it as Mercy plenty too, but it’s very noticeable when you’re the potential savior that Mercy didn’t notice.)

I usually advise new/low-skill Mercy players to avoid the pistol because of how much it constrains awareness. It’s very easy to have the perception that you only use the pistol when there’s nothing else you could do while you’re actually letting teammates and/or yourself die because you aren’t paying attention.

As a mercy main, this definitely kicked my ego down several notches...but these are really good tips to know, I honestly didn't know probably more than half of them, so I know what I'll be working on for the next several weeks. Thanks for the video!

As MEDIC main, I need that guide so much, cause my friends love overwatch, and almost all about positioning is different,

In the MEDIC you need to be as far as possible from enemy, and avoid spy.
Here you need to be with your team to help

Great guide as always! I always see lower rank Mercys have bad rezzes too. It's frustrating when you are the one being rezzed into a 2v5 haha. The low DB and bad awareness/positioning are apparent too. Really to climb, just practice those things and you'll climb easily!

Even though I’ve been playing mercy for 6 years now, this is still so nice and relaxing. I’ve been practicing resurrect techs recently and they are really fun to pull off

Big shoutout from a Rein main to everyone watching this video, Mercy mains are the most patient people in Overwatch and the game wouldn't be the same without y'all

Biggest thing about damage boost I try to tell new mercy players is that not using damage boost is essentially the same as playing zenyatta or lucio and not using your primary fire ever. Mercy isn't gonna be pistoling to contribute to damage cuz she needs her staff out to quickly heal. In overwatch all healers contribute offensive pressure constantly, blue beam is how mercy does damage

I nearly have 700 hours on Mercy. My main tip for getting more boosted damage is keeping your right click engaged at all times, and just left clicking when healing is required, then releasingLMB when your target is healed. This way, whenever someone is in range of your beam, you're automatically boosting them and you don't have to remind yourself that you need to be damage boosting. It also significantly reduces the amount of "overhealing", thus putting boosted damage in its place. I've found that one way to really urge yourself into the habit of this is to watch your game replays, which can be done through navigating to your career profile > history > replays. The way I've found this helpful is that it will highlight to you the rate at which you are healing full health allies, so in turn, when you are in games and experiencing scenarios similar to what you've seen in your replays, you'll be reminded to engage your RMB.
