Thank you for the video, for 6.4 at 1:39:14, can we instead use the equations:

2HI + H2SO4 --> SO2 + 2H2O + I2
6HI + SO2 --> 3I2 + H2S + 2H2O

Hi Tom. Great video. For Q6.4) 1:39:00 why in equation two do you form H2S and not just S so e.g 2nd equation being H2SO4 +6H+ + 6I- —> S + 3I2 + 4H2O?? Is it because it wasn’t two gaseous products and sulfur in my question given is a solid? Thanks!!

In 6.2, is it acceptable to use the reversible sign instead of a single arrow? I thought this reaction was reversible but maybe I'm wrong

Is it just an axiom that Mn7+ is reduced to Mn2+?
