I really wish I wouldn’t have wasted the last hour watching several other videos! This was more information than all of the other vids combined. Well done my friend!

Well, if you wanna know how things work in connecting music amps and cables and stuff, just watch these 11 minutes!
You might not be an engineer, Pete, but you sure understand what you're dealing with. Thanks a lot!

You do a great job. You go right up from the basics and yet never talk down to people. My compliments.

The way you saved my non-existent career in music! I was so bummed after buying my first dynamic mic and did not get a decent gain in my DAW. I was using an XLR to 1/8" (with a 1/4" adapter) from my mic connected to the interface. I will now buy an XLR to XLR and hoping to get a better gain with my new mic! Thanks!

Been looking all over to try and find an explanation to connecting the 1/4 stereo outputs of my synth into an audio interface. This seems to be the only video on youtube or anywhere that explains how to do it via the xlr/line inputs. Thanks so much for explaining it. Crazy that this is literally the only video I could find that answers this question.

Thank you!! I was wondering about the XLR > TRS for a "cleaner" looking set-up but I am so glad I clicked on your video and learned that would not use the preamp.

I'm sure many viewers incl myself would appreciate your thorough explanations. Many artists often get confused with the technicalities of connecting instruments to audio interface devices. On behalf of your viewers and subscribers, I would like to thank you.

You dug me out of a hole! My condenser mic came with a cable having an XLR input on one end, a tiny 3.5mm on the other. So, I then plugged the 3.5mm pin into a 1/4 inch adapter, then inserting that into my audio interface. There was sound at all, but I insisted there should sound becuase this particular cable came supplied with the mic. Thanks to you I now know that I needed to purchase and XLR to XLR cable in order to utilse the pre-amp functionality of my audio interface to get sound from it. The 3.5mm does worki if I plug that into the tiny port on my PC. Thank you very much for your tutorial and for solving my issue. Brilliant 🙂

YOU HELPED ME OUT SO MUCH. When My wireless IEM's arrived I tried plugging in the TS cable from the headphone jack to the monitor output like an idiot but I didn't know the XLR inputs were hybrid and could take it too!

Well done this is the only tutorial that explains this stuff. I just bought my first hardware synth. And this is a great help. Thanks
