So The Blues were out on the Cobham training pitch on Wednesday morning as the early stages of pre-season continued to gather momentum. Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca took his players out on the training pitch for a single session in the morning on day three of pre-season 2024, as he continues the work of getting to know his new squad after joining the club this summer. The group continues to work on adapting to the new tactics deployed by the coach which is predominantly passing and positioning. The Italian had previously stressed how important this stage of pre-season can be, as he gets the chance to work hands on with his players for the first time. Although a number of our internationals are yet to return to training due to their involvement in this summer's European Championship or Copa America, there were several of Maresca's potential key players involved, along with several who spent last season on loan and others from our Academy.
According to Reports reaching us from Cobham , Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia didn’t train with the today but the reason for their absence was not disclosed. Surely they should be back in tomorrow’s session if there is no injury scare. Day three saw work continue at our training base with much better weather conditions prevailing in Serrey. Noni Madueke Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah were among some of the players involved this afternoon setting a strong intensity. It was also all smiles for Mykhaylo Mudryk Malo Gusto and Tyrique George as they continued their work on the Cobham pitches under the tutelage of head coach Enzo Maresca .
