Portovenere - Near Cinque Terre - Italy (drone 4k)
Показать описание
In 1997, together with the villages of the Cinque Terre, Portovenere was declared a UNESCO heritage site.
Portovenere is the smallest seaside village in the province of La Spezia. This town is famous for its beauties: the old castle, ancient houses and churches, and picturesque islands all around with many grottoes.
The village stretches along the jagged coastline of the eastern Ligurian Riviera, nestled on the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as the "Gulf of Poets", due to the numerous artists, poets and writers, men of art and intellectuals who visited it and lived there.
It is enough to remember the English poet Lord George Byron, from whom one of the grottoes takes its name.
Going up to the Doria Castle, in Lerici, you can admire a spectacular panorama that also streches up to include the shape and the contour of the church of San Pietro.
The latter, built around 1200, seems to emerge from the water and remain suspended between sky and rock.
It is in the Gothic-Genoese style: inside you can feel an infinite mysticism, while outside you can see from its loggia and its four-light windows gloroius seascapes.
The seaside village, with its narrow streets and shops and colorful houses, is equally memorable.
