We had an indoor antenna we paid 50 dollars for. We always wondered why the antenna was barely picking up stations that were close to us. When we opened up the antenna, we found that there was nothing inside except for a piece of plastic to hold it together! You might as well just plug a coaxial cable into the antenna port!

If you want an indoor antenna buy a clear stream. It comes with outside TV mount Incase you need better reception or are thinking of using it for a camper. You won't be disappointed. Good video Tyler.

As a former Amateur Radio Operator I built many antennas over 40 years. TV Broadcasts are HORIZONTALLY POLARIZED.
A Vertical antenna won't do unless you are really close to the transmitter.
If the stations are roughly in the same direction, then a Yagi Antenna is the best choice. Outdoor or attic
If they are all over the compass like in my area, a good amplified omni-directional antenna is best. Outdoor would be best.

Best thing is to read the 3, 2, and 1 star reviews because they will tell you any flaws or issues. Some of the people received the product for free for a 5 star review or just are alt accounts of the manufacturer leaving glowing reviews. Not to mention that thing looks very phallic. 😂

I like how you can think of a use case for some pretty bad antennas. Comparison to a paperclip or coax cable is a good metric for a cheap indoor antenna.

If anyone can uses a cheaply-made antenna indoor and pick up a lot of channels they must be in a strong signal area. And how many people use a indoor antenna inside Vs the ones that put them outside.

Heh, its funny you mention a paperclip. I had an argument with a family member about how their "HD" antenna was crap. They said you MUST use an HD antenna. I said "well, that's not true and I could get more channels with a paperclip." I was right.
