The Invincible showrunners didn't want to continue the trope of having a black character with lightning abilities, so they, you know...made a black guy whose only abilities are punching hard, and having more durable skin. Glad to see they avoided stereotyping the black guy by giving him a more boring power set.

To anyone curious, Black Samson’s powers are super-strength, durability, & stamina… like 50% of other heroes. I don’t get why he ditched the high-tech armor tho. He could’ve kept it along with his powers so he could be more effective.

I wish Black Samson got to do more. He's voiced by the GOAT Khary Payton. He's like a middle aged Cyborg. In the comics he got to go toe to toe with Omnipotus. The show's done him dirty.
