THIS STORY:

The 1912 disappearance and dismemberment of eighteen-year-old Ella Barham in Boone County was one of the most gruesome events to occur in northwestern Arkansas in the early twentieth century. The incident has intrigued people for decades. The perpetrator was caught, tried, convicted and hanged. But some believe the wrong man was sent to the gallows for the crime.

THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...

This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Thank you again, Ron, for traveling to Arkansas and making this video about my cousin, ELLA BARHAM ! Because of you, paperback books of Remembering Ella are **SOLD OUT**! lol I have a few more arriving next week, but the central warehouse has no more books, which means Amazon and other resellers who are currently out of stock must wait for books to be printed and shipped to the warehouse (which, by the way, is the Chicago Distribution Center) before they can get any! Amazon does have a couple paperbacks left from 3rd party resellers, but apparently no others. PLEASE NOTE that EBOOKS and the AUDIBLE AUDIOBOOK ARE currently available - it's only the paperback version that is temporarily out of stock. This should be remedied in a week or so. Glad you made it home safe!!

Poor poor girl. Being violated and murdered in that terrible manner is unimaginable. I cry a little every time you leave a flower on the graves. It shows such compassion, respect, and caring. Thank you

To dismember someone like that, along with the brutality, is unthinkable. The dreary day made it all the more sad. Thanks Ron.

We tend to think that brutal murders like this only happen in our crazy time, but evil has always walked the earth. This poor girl. Horrifying to think what she endured. Glad she is not going to be forgotten. Just ordered the book- intrigued to learn more. Thanks for another compelling episode!

Rest in peace sweet Miss Ella. You will not be forgotten. So many more people than you can think of will have read the book about your death. Thank you to the author for writing the book and endeavoring to make sure Ella is remembered. Thank you Ron for doing yet again a fantastic vlog about someone who should not be forgotten. Your definitely good at it.

The starkness of this cemetery parallels the horrifically sad tale of Ella’s death in the cemetery where she rests. Thank you telling Ella’s story, Ron. R.I.P. Ella.

Thank you for showing part of Ark. My mom was born and raised in Little Rock, and loved the creeks, rock wildflowers and food straight off the briars and nut trees. She loved her childhood and the beautiful memories ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you, Ron. A terrible end for anyone but a young woman of that time would have been innocent as a child. I am so glad you took us along. She will not be forgotten and should not be. Great camera work, too.

Very sad. Nicely done tribute to her. I have swam many times in Crooked Creek as a kid in the 1950's and 60's. My parents owned some land close to where Greasy Creek and Crooked Creek come together ( just outside Yellville). May Miss Ella rest in eternal and graceful peace.

Absolutely love this one and the cinematography. Ironic she was buried in the "Davidson" Cemetery after being killed by a Davidson. Rest in peace Ella.❤
