Toe Spacers!

(also known as toe separators)

These bad boys are incredibly helpful if you've been squeezing your feet into shoes your whole life and don't have the ability to spread your toes apart.

Spreading the toes (or abduction) is just one of the many movements our toes and feet SHOULD be able to do.

If you find that difficult (or impossible) try a pair of toe spacers @thetoespacer.

You may want to start wearing them while seated if they're uncomfortable at first.

Then, you can start wearing them while standing and walking around at home.

Eventually you can wear them while performing your accessory work (like squatting) to help strengthen the intrinsic muscles of your feet.

*Note: The whole foot strengthening part doesn't happen unless you stand and move around in these but work your way up to it.

I even recommend these for people with knee, hip, and low back pain if their toes aren't moving well.

Without a solid foundation (aka our feet) something else up the kinetic chain has to compensate.
