México has 32 free and sovereign states (that really are 32 very different countries). Several of them have their own historic nationality that back from native american nations. The simple fact that someone propuse to consider México one single state is not just offensive but deeply ignorant.

Anyone who has traveled to México knows that.

As a Mexican I can say that Mexicans would not like this at all because we are very proud of who we are no matter our circumstances. We have beautiful traditions and people that we wouldn’t trade that for political or economic reasons.

Side note, I do not think that adding Mexico to the United States would add ONE state.
There are 32 federal entities in Mexico, which is equivalent to a state here in the US.
So we would have 82 states if we kept Mexico's existing structure.

Of course it will benefit Mexico, but there is something USA will get that deseperately needs. It's the only way USA can continue being the hegemony of the world. Adding 130 million people to the workforce can mantain that hegemony and USA will be able to print a lot of money without fear of inflation (as long as money is well distribuited). The production of the country will increase one third. It will be the undisputable world power with Europe and China left behind (at least for several years until a plan is made to continue the hegemony). But if a plan like this get to fruition, it will also be good to add Canada to the mix (and create a plan to populate the country). 30 million people is a low population for the size of the country. It would be great to create a plan of redistribution of mexicans and USA americans through all North America. If borders are going to be opened, well then we better distribute better. North America is HUGEEEE (bigger than Rusia) and with a good plan North America can easily be the world power for centuries or even thousands of years.
