How far can you go? Depends on few factors such as your equipment and environmental conditions but I have personally travelled 100 miles. If you use ridge lift and thermals range an be much greater!

Do you need a license? No licensing, no age limit and no training required.

This is my dream! I am an explorer at heart and  get out and hike or drive around and camp as often as I possibly can. I have no interest in stunt flying - more cross country stuff like you do in your videos.  What brand do you suggest as a good all around starter rig?  And what about instruction? All I see when searching is angry bickering back and forth. It's hard to know who to trust.
