Sync Licensing is craaazy! So many indie artists don't know about this... Also, you absolutely need to have your business in order! A lawyer comes in super handy 😉

I would add to this video a few important notes:
1. All supervisors in their interviews said they don't accept songs from emails and from 'noname' artists, because it takes time to clear the song.
2. So, based on note 1, you need to clear songs before pitching them.
3. To clear songs in my case I need signed work for hire agreement from my studio, I need appropriate metadata in a song's file, and, to find out if CD Baby Pro allowed me to send my songs for TV/Movie Sync.
It's all very important questions to consider.

I'm learning so much from your videos 👍 I'm currently in the studio and plan on using everything you've taught me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I've been singing blind for many of years and didn't know it until I found your content. Your friend Justin Wayne Smith 🤠

Ok, I was thinking about Disco, but $10 monthly stopped me. It's small money, but I don't like to be subscribed for things with no effect. You convinced me to do it. Will try. Thank you!

As soon as I figure out how copyright ©️ works so I’ll be able to get everything that’s been used for my friends in The Top Gun Maverick movie.

Miss Krystle, This is great! It's pretty hard finding the mechanics of what goes on behind the curtain. In junction to this video, I have a question: Based on experience and/or experience from your clients, do you have insight on the best practice on getting into the TV/Film world as a musician? I am always looking for tv/ film gigs as a drummer, and I do know that the reality (for the most part) is; it's who you know, and I have gained some work from a couple of composers I know, but I don't want to be reliant on them. I really want to continue to build and widen my scope of composers to work with. All the best to you!
