One of the greatest bands of their era

Best band ever. They were no "garage" band. They played songs nobody could cover...the chords, keys, harmonies and seans voice surpassed everyone else on the scene. He could sing, and get nasty with those vocals. They created a style that would be accepted years later...imitated years later. Bad management is why they did not become a household name. Art Laboe gave them no publicity and they only put out one and a half albums...They are in a category of their own and will always be number one in my heart. Wrong, Bottom Of The Soul and Talk Me Down ended with You"ll Love Me Again are songs nobody today and in the past can touch. Ron Edgar was on another level of drumming, surpassing overrated players like "Keith Moon"...Sean died of lung cancer, unappreciated, poor, and mentally/spiritually rich. People will not comprehend his lyrics unless they study the inner meaning. This man was extremely educated and ahead of the game. Still is. Like Tupac and John Lennon

The Music Machine, Shadows of Knight, Seeds, Standells, Boniwell's Music Machine, 13th Floor Elevators, KAK, Sonics, etc etc etc.... what times of magnificent music and rebellious spirit

i met the band when i was about 14. They were playing at a roundhouse-style club on 1st Beach in Newport, RI, but i forget the exact name of it. My friends and i were hanging out on the beach in the afternoon and the band was doing a soundcheck. One of them (i believe it was Keith Olsen) asked us if fireworks were legal in RI. We said no, they're not, and he cheerfully said "great" and went out outside on the beach and lit off some firecrackers. Keith went on to work as a producer/engineer with many top bands in LA.

The Music Machine put out a heavy sound for 1966 -- THE year for Garage. I remember this band and their sound very well. Many thanks for this video!

I PLAYED THEN & I'M STILL PLAYING

TALK TALK WAS IN MY SET

Listening to their bios described here--this was not just another "run-of-the-mill" garage band with a gang of high school kids picking up instruments for the first time to see what kind of racket they could make! These were serious, seasoned musicians before they ever got together and once they did, they were earnestly learning their craft to sound as good as they possibly could as a unit

One would think that with The Music Machine's drive toward perfection, their unique image and solid rock recordings - they'd have succeeded far beyond "Talk Talk". That's the randomness of Pop and the Hollywood Music Industry. They could've been HUGE.

Talk Talk is the bomb! I'd wait for hours as a youngster with my transistor radio for it to play on A.M. stations.

I remember well. The Music Machine was on one of Dick Clark's shows. I was eleven years old. Seeing these guys in black with black gloves and the beat blew me away! I would like to get the late lead singer's autobiography, I believe it is out of print.

Hi everyone from Mexico City ...! Here we also had many Mexican 60's Rock 'N Roll & Go Go Bands to tell their story...!
For example Javier Bátiz, Los Ovnis, Los Rocking Devils...The Mexican Jumping Beans (The Crazy Boys)...and many others...!
Also Fito de la Parra was be the drummer in the Californian band called Canned Heat...!
And obviusly...Mr.Carlos Santana...

This is so cool. That’s my great uncle Ron Edgar. So sweet to see this footage of him when he was my age.

Does this mean you are going to cover The Standells?
Good times in LA. The mix of music they would play on KRLA and KHJ was unreal. Country, rock, pop, soul, etc. I seem to remember MM appearing on LLoyd Thaxton, or some local music show. They looked serious.

Although unfamiliar with the group. I'm very familiar with KRLA. I grew up on KHJ and KRLA . 2 great Los Angeles radio stations of the 60s. Good video, thanks.

Masculine Intuition is even cooler than Talk Talk, also a number of good tracks as Bonniwell Music Machine.

I was working at Patricks gas station in Springdale, Arkansas with my dad one night when this Red Olds 442 pulled in pulling a U-haul trailer! I went out to see what they needed and when I started to put the gas in I noticed a big hole in the trunk! The gas inlet was behind the license plate! I looked at the guys and they knew what I was going to ask! They said that trailer came loose and slammed into the trunk! The chain was all that saved their equipment! I had the hair and the driver asked if I liked music and naturally I said oh yes! He asked if I had ever heard of a song called "Talk Talk" I said of course! He said that they were the Music machine! I thought that that was so neat! They got their gas windows cleaned and oil checked and then they were on their way! This was like 3 years after the song came out!
