I don't care if she has previous dance experience she did that beautifully and it's one of the best of the night and a lovely fleckel they did mid performance and it was even faster watching it here then I saw it on tv and her arms are so lyrical *8/10*

Beautiful. I hope people forget what experience or background what everybody has and just enjoy and appreciate the beauty of each dance. I’m sure everyone is working hard and at the end of the day, the judges judge them on what they see, not because they had a dance experience. From last night’s opening, there are a few potential finalists, can’t wait for next week!

Ringah! Ringah!! RINGAH!!! But I don't care. This is an exquisite routine danced beautifully. With her potential as a clearly trained dancer (top line, extensions right to her fingertips, extended core when doing the natural and reverse turns etc..), I was expecting Pasha to do the fleckrl, but alas we don't see it. Also I would like to see more turns in hold and out of hold. Otherwise, Ashley and Pasha reminds me a lot of the series when Kim was paired with him. Finalist potential. Will she get there by popular vote? 7.5 Edit to add: I think I spotted the fleckrl in the middle of the dance (1:03 - 1:07)! How did I miss it?! Actually, Pasha did the fleckrl but Ashley did not do it. So I won't revise (i.e. increase) the score as Ashley botched the fleckrl.

Us here in the US are jealous haha for the last few seasons, she has been on the lookout as a possible contestant. From what I've seen of SCD, I really like Pasha, so I'm happy to see him get a good one!

I'm not really sure why Ashley has been singled out as the unfair contestant when Faye and Lee Ryan also spent their careers dancing. They have pop stars on every year, so why is it suddenly a problem now?! Nicole got the same when she won DWTS, and yet the contestant she beat (Evan) was a professional ice dancer and had years on Nicole on terms of training in ballroom technique. No one minded him being there.

One) she's really good, Two) she's the start of a really beautiful ballroom, Three) her showdance will be lit, Four) the judges will judge her against herself as well as the other contestants and I don't doubt they won't score her more harshly if she doesn't do as well in comparison to others, and Five) who cares if she had previous dance experience? She wasn't exactly waltzing about to When I Grow Up was she? If y'all gonna come for her-Faye has had as much if more dance training more recently so...

Ashley shines again! Of course it wasn’t perfect but she had musicality like a star and her posture was not bad! If people hate Ashley for having a little experience, then they haven’t heard of Louis Smith. He was a gymnast and had more experience than any other celebrity on the show. Well done Ashley! 8

What a beautiful first VW, the timing was good, the frame was good and she has lovely extensions. There should be less rise and fall but hey it's week 1! 7 from me!

I can hear all the non-dancers shouting right now "But she has experience" blah blah, a load of rubbish. Can't wait to see her Latin!!!
