Fun fact:
In medieval one of the reasons you make a toast and clink the mead cups is so that some of the drink drops will bounce to the other persons cup.

That way people knew no one is getting poisoned as a symbol of good faith 🍻

Plot twist: They didn’t actually poison each other. They both accidentally poisoned their own drink in a hilarious mix-up while trying to poison the other drink.

Fun fact: this is literally why you clink glasses drink when you cheers. It was to show that you were willing to mix drinks (as toasting sometimes do), thereby showing you’re willing to risk your own life to prove that you have not poisoned them.

It’s also why it’s rude to not drink after a toast. You showed you’re willing to mix potential poisons, so then why aren’t you drinking…?

Plot twst: neather of them poisoned each other's drinks, it was the queen standing in the background. That's why she was just awkward chilling in background checking out her nails. She was waiting for the two paranoid kings to drink the wine she secretly poisoned so she could finally take control.
