I was interested to watch this and then you said “make you feel tired when you’re not” and I literally will play this when I have trouble sleeping or need to go to bed earlier than normal cuz as much as I enjoy the game it’s very easy for me to fall alseep in the chair controller/mouse in hand

One more, match your background fps to normal fps so you avoid stuttering when alt tabbing.

I didn't realize how many of these issues would get resolved by simply using a controller. I used it mostly to diminish my carpal tunnel but the gameplay feels more natural. Love it and can't see myself reverting to mouse and keyboard.

HUD in centre for older diablo players is better in my opinion. Plus having it on the left covers the chat which is annoying. Personal preference in the end obviously.

I use the shift key to keep me from moving when I am doing long range skills.

This game uniquely causes a ton of eye strain. Gonna try these setting changes, really appreciate it and would love more tips!

I just subscribed/followed your channel. So interesting your take on the gameplay rather than just the builds, or repetitive content we've being seen, plus your didactics are spot on. Thanks

Really enjoy your tips. Any extras greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

I love your videos! Thank you for all your efforts. Let's grow this channel! Please do a controller/console overview/tutorial, specifically the targeting system. The D4 targeting system is quite powerful but needs to be explained in more detail. Could you do a deep dive on that?

I'm surprised you didn't talk about scroll mouse wheel to move, by far my favorite way to play diablo

Yeah, I'd be interested in a longer video going over all these settings. The game doesn't explain them too well in some cases, much like it doesn't explain its core mechanics very well. I wish all video games that call themselves RPGs (or any subgenre of RPG) contained a PDF manual of their ruleset...Like tabletop RPGs always have the book you can look things up in so you know exactly what you're doing. Instead, they hide mechanics from players...It's just stupid and frustrating.

With the HUD placement, not sure if it is a PC default to have it centered, but on Console I actually had to change it from off to the side as the default over to center. With console though, I've found the center HUD is much better if you use larger TVs. You are not constantly glancing over to the corner, instead it is just in your view below your action. I can understand moving it on a monitor, but on a much larger TV....center HUD is not really in the way.

Thank you very much for these tips. Yes, they may have been around for awhile, but this vid arrived at just the right time for me. Simply adjusting cursor size/color and moving HUD made the game so much more enjoyable. Note: I am a filthy casual and wander in and out of D4.

Take this as a contribution to the vid. Some of these are much simpler to change. Some weren't exactly correct.

First what I wouldn't agree on.

Hud/left. You move the health bar all the way to the edge and it's right next to the resource one.
Seeing that info easier is more important for me on HC, especially with 27" monitor and not sitting way back. Not worth it to maybe see something that's still far enough away and it is only when it's from that angle it does anything so left/right/up doesn't get any pro of using it, also left side gets blocked somewhat instead of the bottom so with that I think you can get why I'm not on the same page. It's worse if you have a resource closer in color to health it's easy to mistake one or the other. For SC then I can see the it being used, esthetic only tho.

Windowed vs Full. With a dual monitor setup having the slightly faster time getting the game back in focus is worth it to use Windowed and it makes it smoother going back and forth between game/browser. You can just lock cursor and it's like Full-screen mode.
Also full can often get hidden if you switch to browser and that's not very good for HC. Can't recall if D4 does that atm tho.
If you have a slow PC Full will help with performance a little bit.

Then what can be done in a more simple way.
Don't need to remove combined buttons. Just bind something like mouse button 5 for force move, no need to change anything from the regular bindings you'd use unless you use mb5 for something already then just choose another one.

For the rest they are okay and some are basic stuff people miss so it's good to remind about them. 👍

Hope you don't mind some constructive critic. Much is personal preference, just not all. ❤

Its all subjective, but your tip on hud configuration . . . If you move it to the corner it is now, typically, not as easy to see which skills need to be reset or which cooldowns have lifted, etc.

I'm left handed, and it feels weird to have the lower left corner blocked for me. HUD on top would be a great idea. The game 'field' is tilted slightly so there's more screen space/visibility above than below. We really should have 7 HUD options (top, bottom, each corner, and off/very minimal, ie: just health/resource numbers and conditions/stacks/cooldowns).
I definitely have clicked on my HUD when trying to kill things, though. It's a minor issue, but still an issue.

I been playing with awsd to move, I dont mind to bind a few keys as I used to play wow with tons of macros hha, I didn't enjoy moving clicking in diablo2, I remember when I played Lineage 2 then I quit few weeks later just for that aspect. I'll follow your tips, thanks 😊
