I think that Driver San Francisco was the last game that wasn't mainly about racing and had licenced cars. Seeing how this type of games ends up, I see why devs don't like to add real world cars into their games. There are few exceptions though like Cyberpunk 2077, PUBG...

I was today years old when I learned Gangs of London was a spin off of the Getaway

i loved how they didn't have a minimap, it made the map feel huge i would easily spend hours exploring and would get lost and at the time I had this British friend at school his name was Jack Jones and we would always ask him to show us his old house in London in that game and believe there was a character model of my friend Jack in his London home playing his Ps2 in his bedroom

There's now a tv-series called "Gangs of London" which is set in the same universe and based on the PSP game. It's been renewed for a third season if anyone's interested.
