Retrofitting for Net Zero: the Role of Smart Buildings

Net Zero, Decarbonization, and Electrification efforts are driving deep building retrofits across the built environment. In the quest to reach zero, Smart Buildings play an important role. While networks, integrations, and software are not a substitute for essential envelope and equipment upgrades, they do offer the opportunity to optimize the intersection of energy and comfort. This presentation will explore current and near-future trends in Smart Buildings, and discuss how the trends are vital to reaching a net zero future in the built environment.
