Sweet Peppers - Water-bath Canning

Sweet peppers are absolutely delicious. They remind me of the ones you get at Subway. Hope you love this recipe as much as I do!!

I'm not worried too much about all the sugar b/c we use so much acv.
Also, I added a full tbsp of tumeric by accident. Do you think this will be a problem, plus I added like 5 heads of garlic just b/c I love pickled garlic. I hope I haven't ruined my first time canning peppers. Any feedback?

Hi :) I have 2 questions. 1, do they eventually soften or do they remain hard? 2, once you open them do they taste sweet? if so can we add less sugar?
