Dermatology and skin cancer update

Chewy is such a wonderful place to buy from. I have been receiving my prescription dog food and medicines there for years. They are so much less expensive than my vet. I had a sweet wonderful dog named Molly that died one week before her 17th birthday of congestive heart failure. I had just gotten a refill on her medicines the week before. I called to cancel her prescriptions and shortly after that my credit card was refunded the $172. 00 that I paid for her medicine. I was in tears and felt extremely thankful. They also sent me flowers with a lovely sympathy note. I never, ever expected anything. I still have one dog now that is 10 and I get all his food and his medicine from Chewy. They are truly a wonderful, caring company. I recommend them to everyone all the time. Not because I got a refund but because they are wonderful to deal with, I save money and they are compassionate and caring. They understand the love we have for our wonderful fur babies❤️

I have precancerous on chest and hands. I had horses and rode in sun all of the time. I wish you was closer. My husband has fatty liver and gives me a hard time about the diet too. But, I do cooking so I try to not use oils in or on his food. Just had blood tests and they were all great! I lost 63 lbs and went from 22 to size 10 so I am really happy. Hugs

I will be 70 in January...been on a carnivore diet for three years. Join pain is gone. Many other health benefits as well.

My dad had skin cancer. He always had to sit in the shade, wore high spf and was a red head to boot, so tended to be more sensitive to the sun. He did fine. It's so true...as we get older we complain about our aches and pains more and more. A friend said you can tell you're getting old when you can get up out of your chair without making a noise. lol!

Glad your appointment was as good as it was. I often wonder if as we get older is it we feel more aches and pain because we have more time to think about it as we aren’t as crazy busy. Just a thought as I sure know I hurt every bloody day. ❤

Happy to hear no new actual skin cancers. I was never a huge sun worshipper, but had way too many bad sunburns as a kid and teenager, because I'm super light complected. I'm 74, so was an adult before we really knew how dangerous getting burned was. And way back when I was young and dumb, it seemed to me the only way I could get tan at all was to have at least one good burn a year. I've been lucky though, and so far have only one actual skin cancer, and it was the least invasive type. Just had to have one layer removed and they were down to healthy skin. That was about 10 years ago. And I've had yearly skin checks since then, and avoid being out in the sun too much. But I know how it is, always wondering, is this one? Here's to both of us staying cancer free!!

It sounds like a rotator cuff tear...I hope not. I had that surgery and you're right!! Recovery was horrible!!

The pain clinic I go to gave me lidocaine shots they are better than cortisone shots. I had that in my neck and shoulder and it lasts a lot longer.. we need red meat for our own muscle and blood..my husband's parents died from heart disease, he was always worried about heart attacks. He went to the doctors and ended up with two types of lymphoma. Doctors said his heart was very healthy. But the cancer got him at 60 years old. One way or another something will get us. Extra weight is very bad for our bodies. God bless you and yours.❤

I prefer to wear UPF clothing as much as possible and use sunblock what’s exposed. Glad you didn’t have to go through biopsy

I believe in carnivore too. My kids won't listen to me either. I've told them about Ken Berry and asked them to go listen to him. They love the fast food and processed food too much. I'm 77 so it took me a lot of years to learn this. Maybe they will learn it in their 70's.

LOL we went to a party last month, the topic of conversation was their aches and pains. This was a group of men some of who haven't seen each other in more than 10yrs and the only catching up was aches and pains.

my resting heart rate dropped thanks to carnivore... which is normal, as it dropped 6-8 beats a minute. so while at the dr i was hitting 58 beats-- now i got to go get tested. not saying a damn thing- just to make sure. but my heart is getting a well deserved break. and i feel much better- last several months i stayed carnivore- but beer does massive damage to the lifestyle
