The short i in New Zealand and South Africa has a neutral sound. I'm old enough to remember when flip flops first came to the US. There wasn't anything called thong underwear at the time. Original flip flops had straps across the top of the foot without going between the toes. I think the straps between the toes in sandals were called thong sandals and this became a popular style of flip flops. I remember flip flops being called thongs in the US. Thong bikinis were called T-backs before the term thong came about for underwear and bikinis.

Interesting... Bunning's huh? Both "Sam's Club" and "Costco, " two warehouse stores in the US, are known for having excellent hot dogs (but Costco's is better, ) and both are bargains. At Costco, you get a big hotdog with condiments and a large soda for $1.50!

to be honest we just say that vegemite is eaten in spoon fulls but no one actually dose it ist just a big nationwide prank in the tourists... vegemite is actually just leftover yeast from beer....

It is all about balance and good management.

If Kangaroo numbers are not kept under control, they over populate and devastate the vegetation in the areas where they live.

Kangaroos are also an incredibly dangerous road hazard for drivers especially at night. They see a vehicle on the road and for some f**ked up reason they jump or skip on the vehicles path. ALWAYS!!!
They don't skip away from the vehicle, they must jump in front of it!!
There are countless dashcam videos here on YT where you can see kangaroos in action. Type in: "Kangaroo vs car".

And so human consumption of the zero fat, wild, organic, super healthy kangaroo meat, or using it as pet food, or exporting it are ways Australia benefits from what is essentially pest control.

Some kiwis probably ate some kiwis in the past (and made them into hats) cuz how did they become endangered in the first place? Lol, Now Kangaroos are taking over in Australia, they're as numerous as rats practically, that's why their meat is consumed, their skin is used for leather, etc, in case anyone's wondering, Lol!!! I noticed you use a lot of profanity. Is that common in New Zealand? Or is that just a habit of yours personally?

I'm curious as to whether you've ever been to Australia? Your pronunciation of fish and chips sounded nothing like an Australian. You misprounced most of the place names. We only say cuppa for tea and coffee, not juice. And the reason we eat kangaroo is that there are so bloody many of them. In some parts of the country, a hundred kilometres of highway will show you 20 or 30 dead roos at the side.
