I know this video is 3 years old but thank you so much. New Century is my fav Zoids anime and Class S to me was always positioned to me like winning the World Cup.

For the potential future of the Blitz Team, I imagine they just continued to grow with amazing Zoid battles. Plus I think the other characters reached Class S too, because to me Class S is more of a goal standard rather than just a division.

I'm of the belief the journey to class S was the real story of the series, cause it all comes back to Bit's dream about finding a partner, in some ways that's what all the story was about. Teamwork and Pushing yourself beyond your limits.

It's safe to say no matter what Bit and Liger Zero will forever be bonded together.

(But yer I would throw money at everyone to give me a sequel to New Century even if I love how it's perfectly ended)

Considering that none of the B and A rank teams ever seemed to have sponsors, I always got the vibe that the B and A rank leagues were like the minors with the S rank league being the majors with all the corporate sponsors. With all the money those corporate sponsors entail means the S rank teams must be packed with only the state of the art equipment.

Actually with the Tigers Team vs Harry’s team, they were right outside the jurisdiction of that particular judge. He was telling them that if they wanted to battle, they’d need to move closer. And neither of them did so the judge was complaining that they just fucked off

Ever since Zoids New Century Zero finished it's 1st season all those years ago, I've always had dreams of The Blitz Team going on their Class S Adventures.
Sometimes they would chill in some bars that were on the show chilling, other times they were fighting some unknown Teams from Class S, other times The Blitz Team are seen testing their Zoids out, and other times they would get hunted by some of the remaining Back Draft Group.
Again that was only some dreams I've had over the years, who knows what Zoids Class S could've been?

They should make a remake of chaotic century or new century just like what they did to Initial D and Neon Genesis. And if they do hopefully they continue on to the class S story arc.

So glad I found this channel. Zoids NCZ to this day is my favorite anime. I've watched it at least 9x and it never gets old to me. Especially the final fight. Chills everytime Bit and liger come flying out of the dust cloud.

In the case of Harry and the Tiger's team, both teams backed up so there probably wouldn't be a penalty. On top of that they weren't in the designated battle area and the judge said they had to move into it in order to fight. Neither was interested, so no battle.

I imagine that the Blitz Team in class S was something planned for another season, but due to Zoids: New Century's low ratings in Japan it never materialized. In fact the end of the season feels somewhat rushed given how the Backdraft Group is defeated without the Blitz Team lifting a finger. It's like the writers knew there wouldn't be a second season so the Backdraft Group had to be defeated right there.

If the show's ratings were good enough for another season, I imagine what would have happened was that along with the Blitz Team being in Class S, there would be a conflict between the Zoid Battle Commission and the Backdraft Group for control. We'd get more elaboration on the Backdraft Group, with many of its members making their fortune through completely illegal means, and with the pushing for control over Zoid battles they are getting money for more criminal activities. Hence the need to stop them, it's not just about Zoid battles, innocent lives across the globe will be at stake.

Something extra I would want to do is show off battle with the Backdraft Group's disregard for rules and the safety of competitors without anybody have character shields, so it ends in someone dead. And the rich assholes who bet on battles in the Backdraft Group cheering at the sight of a pilot being murdered. A horrific scene that shows just how horrible these people are.

Despite losing the Royal Cup, Sarah, Vega's handler, would use her influence to force him into Class S, which he agrees to so he can fight the Blitz Team. Ironically the conflict actually helps him become closer friends with the Blitz Team. Many of the teams in Class S are elitist who are curious about the Blitz Team, but are NOT welcoming to Vega since he didn't earn his way in, not to mention his ties to the Backdraft Group. Oh yeah, and in his match with the Blitz Team he attempted murder, of which Bit letting him off can explained as him accepting Vega was a kid and didn't know any better. The two should be enemies, but Bit ironically becomes Vega's closest friend.

Also give Vega some backstory, like I don't know maybe he's an artificial human designed to be the perfect pilot. We need something to explain why he doesn't have any apparent family and how he became the top pilot in a planet wide mafia.

The teams in Class S have the skill and the firepower to potentially tip the conflict being the Backdraft and the Commission, and to the horror of the Blitz Team, not all of them as moral as they expected. Some of them are honorable warriors, but others are elitists who only care about money and status, thus they are tempted by the Backdraft's offers.

So the end result sounds like it would be a better version of Fuzors. Some Zoid battles, along with a conflict that hearkens back to the war type plots of Chaotic Century.

My best guess was always that Class S was one in which the team gets discounts and accommodations as well as making a set wage as long as the team remains active in the sport. That would be something to strive for as the end goal that it is. Another theory I had was that since the NCZ season takes place on a single continent that maybe Class S would also include international leagues and tornaments.

I always figured if there was a class S, it would be a league of its own and it would be loaded with never seen before rare zoids, imagine futuristic zoids like the diablo tiger, or even take it a whole step above and imagine zoids based on mythological creatures, like chimeras, hydras, jackalopes, wyverns, cerberuses and the like (zoids we've never really seen before). Takara Tomy really needs to consider doing something like that if they continue producing the zoids series and toys. Really, Chaotic Century, Genesis, Zoids Wild and Zoids Wild zero have all been about wars for freedom and the like, only fuzors kinda continued with the whole zoids as a sport thing, but fuzors wasn't well made unfortunately. They need another tournament or battle royale series with Class S and an elite league in there, that would break the cliché cycle of a war based story and really would put zoids back on the target for tv airing and product consuming in america and europe. And btw nice video, I really enjoyed it.

Hey, just wanted to say: first off, loving the Zoids videos! There’s a criminal lack of good Zoids content on YT, and so anything is welcome, especially stuff of the Calibre that you’re putting out. Good on ya.

As for Japan: I’ve been a couple of times, so I have a couple of recommendations. I assume you’re already planning to check out the big nerd spots, Akihabara, etc, so I’ll skip those. I’d definitely check out Himeji-Do, the White Crane castle outside Kyoto. And my favourite spot in the country is a mountain Onsen resort town called Hakone. Beautiful, serene, surrounded by nature, views of Mt. Fuji...it’s heaven on Earth.

If you’re in Kyoto I’d also check out Nanzenji temple; it’s the one that was featured in Lost in Translation with the stepping stones. Nara also has a great temple and a lot of very friendly deer.

Oh, also: in regards to your query at the end of the Liger video - yes, please! I’d love to see a vid about all of the “Saurer”/raptor/tyrannosaur type Zoids. Basically everything with a CPC, haha. Zoids isn't my all time favorite anime franchise, though I've always found it immensely enjoyable, and regularly come back to it. I've always wanted a continuation of New Century Zero, ever since I watched reruns of the dub back when I was 12. That particular series has always been my favorite entry in the franchise, and I always thought that there was more that could have been done with it, though I have to say, I would definitely be intrigued by the idea you put forth regarding a series set in between Guardian Force and New Century Zero. Hell I'm 33 and I still want the show to make a comeback, even though I know it's just a pipe dream at this point, but hey, nothing wrong with wishing for it, right? Regarding the various Zoids series, New Century Zero is my favorite, as I stated, and Chaotic Century is tied with Guardian Force for second place. I'm admittedly not really a fan of Fuzors, and I confess I haven't watched anything beyond that point.

I personally have a different head cannon for class s not really existing, but is actually a recruitment tool for the current iteration of the guardian force. That would explain why we’ve never seen or heard about any other class s teams, where they’re effectively only around to prevent a group like the backdraft group from finding the death saurer/stinger and/or zoid eve.

So I'm just rewatching this, it sounds like you do get to class s by winning the cup, but the way they said it was you automatically get to class s as if there are other ways to get to class s besides the cup. Same with the lottery, sounded like Harry wasn't the only one to get in it by that method.
